7-Day Options Crash Course
A structured week for traders who are new to options.
Before you start
Work through this in order. Each day assumes the one before it. The aim is not to make you fast — it is to make sure you understand what you are buying before any real money is involved.
Stay on a paper or demo account for the whole course, and keep using one until trading the setups feels routine. There is no prize for switching to live capital early. Options trading carries substantial risk of loss, and most of that risk is avoidable by not being in a hurry.
When you have finished, read the Signal Tutorial — it explains how to read a morning alert field by field.
Day 1 — Options fundamentals
What an option is, how it is priced, and how to read a chain.
Day 2 — Charting and strategy basics
Reading a chart, marking the levels that matter, and two entry patterns.
Day 3 — Tools and terminology
Intraday tools and the vocabulary the rest of the course assumes.
Day 4 — Analysis and risk management
How much to risk, and what actually moves an option's price.
Read: Choosing a broker
Day 5 — Placing trades on your platform
The mechanics of actually entering an options order.
Day 6 — Stops and chart setup
Getting a stop in place before you need it.
Day 7 — Psychology and discipline
The part that decides whether the other six days matter.
